| 10 myths that prevent people from making money online - Part 1 |

In my article "Internet-based Financial Independence in 10 Simple Steps" which I wrote at the start of the year, I mentioned 5 myths given by Jim Daniels in his report that keeps people from making money online. These 5 myths are just half of 10 myths that he discusses in his free report . As I continued to venture into Internet Marketing, I realized that these myths have a lot more truth to them than what I initially assumed. For those who have not yet downloaded the free report , I suggest you do it now. If you're really interested in getting on your way to establishing an online business for yourself, this free report may very well be your most important gateway. But before you do, I'd like to share with you in this article my insights into the 10 reasons that prevent people from making money online discussed in the free report. It is important to get over them the soonest if you are still harboring any of them. This is the first part in a series of three articles on the topic. Here goes: Myth #1: I'm not smart enough to have my own (Internet) business.I guess this apprehension comes from people's experience with establishing a traditional brick and mortar business that generally requires substantial capital and normally takes a while to take off. But an online business has a lower barrier to entry and requires a lot less resources to establish than traditional physical businesses. As Jim Daniels mentions in his report, "If you have an average level of intelligence and a desire to learn, you can grow an income stream from the web." This is equally true with offline businesses but because of the lesser requirements an online business needs, it is all the more true and more easily realizable. Myth #2: I don't have the time it takes to start or grow an income source online.Again, the nature of web businesses shatters this myth. Perhaps balancing two or more physical jobs can truly be taxing and may not result in a steadily growing income but squeezing in an online business effort, even if you're currently working full time, is quite feasible and can prove to bring in that much needed extra income more than what efforts at an extra job can bring. As I've learned through my experience with Internet Marketing, the key to realizing your dream is to work on it consistently. Putting in that extra effort, consistently squeezing in a few extra hours each day, coming up with a plan and focusing on making that plan work, all contribute to reaping a growing and steady source of alternative income in the long run. Myth #3: I don't have the money it takes for a new business.Successful business people will always tell you that in launching a new business, money should be the least of your problems. True, money is needed to get the wheels rolling on your idea that you're trying to convert into an ongoing business venture but if you have a truly great business idea and a workable plan to go with it, money can be found to support your dream. Again, all the more is this situation true for online businesses. In fact, sometimes all it takes is a minimal amount of capital to get you started on your online business and once you get it started, it can become self-sustaining quickly and very soon can turn into a regular stream of growing income. In the second part of this series , I will share with you my insights on the next 4 myths.
